Here's a little information about HOPE CHRISTIAN CHURCH
This church began its journey in 2008 as a church plant in the Springwood area of South Brisbane.
Our Message – At Hope Christian Church we desire to preach the single straight and clear gospel of God's saving Grace in His Son Jesus Christ.
That, "Christ has come into this mutinous world, which He made for His Own glory, and paid for an amnesty with His Own Blood. Everyone who lays down the weaponry of unbelief will be absolved from all crimes against the Sovereign of the universe. By faith alone enemies will become happy subjects of an everlasting kingdom of justice and joy." ~ John Piper
At Hope Christian Church we endeavour to make our very existence entirely about the glory of God. It is our desire that this would be evident in how we conduct our worship services. Here are some ways we hope to put this into practice.
Simple and heartfelt worship:
We are disinterested in having a worship service that is more about the performance and presentation than our hearts being lifted toward our Triune God. We don’t have any set rules on how one should worship: they can do as they feel. 1 Cor 14:40 says, “But all things should be done decently and in order.” Therefore, as long as one worships in an orderly fashion, and without distracting others, they should feel free to stand, sit, raise hands, kneel etc.
Fervent, biblical preaching:
We believe in thepreaching of God’s Word to His people each and every week. We passionately desire God to be glorified through the proclimation of God's truth and thus cannot pamper the egos of fallen men. God is the definition of truth and He has established His truth through His Word in the bible. We are confined to express that truth alone, in every sermon, every week. “Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.” - 1 Tim 4:16
Modest and meek services:
It is our intention to conduct worship services in an unpretentious manner. We ardently yearn to have God-honouring meetings that give as little prominence to man as possible. We have little intention to be flashy or showy and seek to do all things in meekness and humility. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” - Matthew 5:5
